Gbajabiamila receives award as “Public Leadership ICON”
Rt. Hon Femi Gbajabiamila has been conferred with the award of “Public Leadership ICON” by the Ph.D 2023/2024 Class of the Department of Public Administration of the Nasarawa State University.
This is in recognition of his outstanding performance and people oriented activities throughout his over two decades carrier in Public Service.
Special appreciation was extended to him for sponsoring the Students Loan Bill and legislative activism that ensured the protection of Nigerians in Ghana, China and South Africa during his reign as the Speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives.
In return, Hon Gbajabiamila instituted an Endowment Fund to cater for the Best Graduating Student in Public Administration in the University.
In a message conveyed to the Head of Department, he stated that the gesture, among his other initiatives, is one way of contributing to Nation Building, promoting academic excellence and producing future Public Leaders for the Nation.
The Best Student Award will run for six (6) Academic Sessions till 2030/2031.
