His Excellency, Senator Chief Bola Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu’s Gutsy South-South Spokesman, Honorable Chief Pastor Bill Francis Bill, acting in his capacity as a former member of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), University of Calabar, and current South South Spokesman to the President Bola Asiwaju Tinubu, wishes to address the recent planned protest by NANS and the pressing issues affecting Nigerians.
As someone who has been part of the NANS family, I understand the passion and conviction of our students. However, I urge my former colleagues and fellow students to consider alternative channels for addressing their grievances. Let us work together to build a better Nigeria, rather than resorting to protests that may lead to unintended consequences.
I am compelled to bring to the attention of His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the dire situation faced by Nigerians. The recent fuel price hike has left many wondering how to survive, as the new price of one hundred and sixty-five naira per liter has become a heavy burden. The song on every Nigerian’s lips is no longer one of joy, but a lamentation of hunger and poverty.
Mr. President, I implore you to look into the welfare of Nigerians, as the current state of affairs is indeed troubling. The cries of the people must be heard, and urgent action taken to alleviate their suffering. I beg of you, sir, to use your good office to address these challenges, that we may restore hope and happiness to our beloved nation.
Furthermore, I wish to emphasize that the time for change is now. We must work tirelessly to ensure that our nation becomes a beacon of prosperity and peace. Let us join hands to build a brighter future for ourselves and generations yet unborn.
