Force PRO Olumuyiwa Adejobi Promoted to Deputy Commissioner of Police

Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun congratulated DCP Adejobi, urging him to continue upholding the highest standards of discipline, integrity, and service.

The Nigeria Police Force has elevated its spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), a move approved by the Police Service Commission in recognition of his professionalism and exceptional service.

Adejobi, who first assumed the role of Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) in an acting capacity on February 16, 2022, while serving as a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), was later confirmed in the position by former IGP Usman Alkali Baba (Rtd).

Since then, he has been instrumental in improving the police force’s image, introducing reforms to boost public trust, enhance accountability, and modernize its communication strategy.

An alumnus of the University of Ibadan, Adejobi holds degrees in Archaeology, Geography, and Peace and Conflict Studies. His earlier tenure as Police PRO in Ogun State (2008–2016) earned him a reputation for professionalism and effective public engagement.

Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun congratulated DCP Adejobi, urging him to continue upholding the highest standards of discipline, integrity, and service.
