Fire Guts Sawmill In Lagos

There was a fire incident at a sawmill at Abule-Egba along the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway on Sunday.

Giving a situation update on Sunday, Margaret Adeseye, Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service at 5.36 pm on Sunday said the fire had been prevented from “spreading beyond the sawmill and put under control”.
She said that firefighters from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service from Agege, Abesan and Alausa stations were at the scene to put out the fire.
According to her, the cause of the fire was still unknown at the time she posted it on the X handle of the fire and rescue service.
