Earlier today, I received in my office, Mr. Ari Rothbard of EquiMedical and Farla Healthcare Group from London alongside their local representative, Mr. Victor Quainoo for discussions on crucial initiatives for maternal, new born and child health care with specific focus on the promotion of digital health initiatives.

It is envisaged that this initiative approach will enable the efficient monitoring and recording of crucial maternal and infant data, facilitating seamless communication and coordination among health care providers through a digital health platform.
Interestingly, the proposed digital platform will play a pivotal role in enhancing the overall quality of maternal and child healthcare services. It will also provide a secure platform for healthcare professionals to access real-time information, ensuring timely interventions and personalized care for expectant mothers and infants. The integrated digital programs will cover various aspects of maternal health, including antenatal care, postnatal care, nutrition, and vaccination schedules, contributing to improved health outcomes.
The Ministry recognizes the transformative potential of digital health in modernizing healthcare delivery, and this collaborative effort reflects its commitment to leveraging technology for the betterment of women and children in Nigeria.
Another significant focus of the meeting was the importance of maintaining sterility in women’s health, particularly in clinical hygiene and facility sterility.
In all, it is gratifying to note that this initiative will no doubt provide a pathway for our sustained efforts to address health related matters bordering of maternal mortality in Nigeria.
