Your Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR)
Fellow Nigerians,
On this historic occasion of Nigeria’s 26th year of uninterrupted democracy the longest in our nation’s history—I extend my warmest congratulations to Mr. President and all citizens. Today, we celebrate not just the triumph of democracy but the resilience of the Nigerian spirit that has kept it alive.
The story of Nigeria’s democracy cannot be told without acknowledging Your Excellency’s pivotal role.you stood on the front lines in the struggle against military rule, fighting tirelessly to restore power to the people in 1999. Your sacrifices and unwavering commitment laid the foundation for the freedoms we enjoy today.
As a nation, we must also appreciate the faith Nigerians have placed in democracy and the rule of law. Though the journey has been challenging, I urge every citizen to remain patient and resilient as we navigate this critical phase of national transformation.
Your Excellency, your administration’s bold reforms, though tough, are necessary steps toward repositioning Nigeria for sustainable progress. The current economic realities, though harsh, are the sacrifices we must endure today for a prosperous tomorrow. Already, we are seeing encouraging signsgradual price stability in food and essential commodities a testament that better days are ahead.
As we mark this Democracy Day let us recommit to unity, hope, and collective progress. May we continue to uphold the ideals of democracy and work together toward a brighter, more secure future for all Nigerians.
Happy Democracy Day, Nigeria!
Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
