CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE TO HIS EXCELLENCY, HON. (DR.) LUCKY ORIMISAN AIYEDATIWA, ON THE OCCASION OF HIS 100 DAYS IN OFFICE
I, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, FCIPA, ALBS, heartily congratulate our amiable and visionary Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Hon. (Dr.) Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, on the auspicious occasion of his 100 days in office as the Executive Governor of our dear Sunshine State
.
This milestone is not just a count of days, but a testament to purposeful leadership, unwavering commitment, and focused delivery of democratic dividends to the good people of Ondo State. Your Excellency, within this short but impactful period, you have demonstrated uncommon leadership and clarity of purpose in steering the ship of our dear state. Your administration has already begun to record giant strides across critical sectors from infrastructure and healthcare to education, youth and women empowerment, and the all-important area of employment opportunities for our teeming youth beginning with the employment of 2,110 teachers in our public schools, both primary and secondary.
Your resolve to complete the long-abandoned building project adjacent the Governor’s Office in Alagbaka stands out as a symbol of your commitment to continuity and prudent management of state resources. The flag-off of the dualization of the first phase of the Oke Aro/Idanre road and the bold move to dualize the Akungba/Ikare road to end the persistent carnage on that corridor further affirm your responsiveness to the urgent needs of our people.
The ongoing construction of the Irese Road/Onyearugbulem Flyover in Akure, now nearing completion, is a major infrastructural milestone. Likewise, the completion of projects initiated by the Akeredolu-led administration reflects your political maturity, sense of history, and unwavering commitment to governance beyond party lines.
Your focus on lightening major roads in Akure metropolis and the commencement and execution of legacy projects across the three senatorial districts of Ondo State have brought renewed hope and restored public confidence in government.
Most commendable is your dedicated and conscientious implementation of the 7-point developmental agenda, codenamed ‘OUR EASE’, which has already become the strategic compass for sustainable growth and inclusive development across the state.
Your Excellency, in less than a year, you have charted a new course for Ondo State’s financial stability. You administration has remarkably repositioned Ondo State on the path of financial recovery, setting a commendable standard in economic discipline, transparency, and public sector management.
With a governance philosophy deeply rooted in fiscal responsibility and accountability, Your Excellency has implemented far-reaching reforms that have not only curbed wasteful spending but also re-engineered the financial architecture of the state for long-term sustainability.
A testament to this prudent management is the dramatic reduction of the state’s domestic debt burden. According to statistics released by the Debt Management Office (DMO), Ondo State’s domestic debt profile dropped by a staggering 82.6% within one year an unprecedented feat in the state’s recent fiscal history.
This financial turnaround has rekindled stakeholders’ trust in governance, boosted the state’s creditworthiness, and opened the door for renewed investor confidence. By restoring sanity to public finance and instituting a culture of value-for-money in government spending, you have demonstrated that economic growth and good governance are not mutually exclusive.
As a stakeholder in the Ondo Project and a firm believer in your capacity to transform the state, I reaffirm my unflinching support and that of our teeming supporters to your administration. We are confident that under your watch, Ondo State will continue to witness greater heights of prosperity and peace.
I earnestly pray for divine strength, wisdom, and protection for you as you continue to steer the affairs of our dear state with grace and fortitude. May your tenure be remarkably impactful and hitch-free.
