CHAIRMAN OWOLABI INSPECTS DAMAGE ON AKOKO NW* *LEGISLATIVE BUILDING CAUSED BY TERMITES
… _Assures government urgent intervention_
Akoko Northwest People’s Chairman, Hon. Esan Owolabi, has inspected some damage caused by powder- post termites on the Akoko Northwest Local Government Legislative Council Building.
On assumption of duty, the councilors in this local council noticed some damage on the facility in the legislative building that has been badly destroyed by termites especially in their various offices which needed government quick intervention.
The Solicitude chairman was accompanied on the inspection to the legislative building by all the lawmakers led by their Leader of the House on Thursday March 6, 2025 in order to assess the level of damage inflicted on the lawmaking complex.
The lawmakers took the chairman round the complex to show him their office’s furnitures and equipments that has been destroyed by this pseudoneoropterous insects.
They both appealed to the passionate chairman to come to their rescue because there is no way they can sit under a root that has been rendered distressed and weakened by the ants.
On visiting the facility, we find it that all the interior utility in the lawmaker’s office has been consumed by the white ants which requires replacement and renovation.
“We are calling on the local government chairman to refurnish and renovate the building for us.” The Lawmakers appealed
During visit to the complex, the whole roof/ceiling of the edifice structure were already messed up by this dreaded termites. The situation of the entire building has become serious threat and the safety of those lawmakers can no longer be guaranteed under the building.
The lawmakers reiterated that, as we can see that rain season is fast approaching, we are appealing to the government to help us renovate the begging facility for our proper legislation because we can’t sit with ferocious termites to exercise our legislative duties.
Convincingly, in his own remark the local government chairman Hon Owolabi sympathised with the lawmakers and expressed government Renewed Hope of swift intervention on their worries.
He promised that in no distant time, some proactive action of renovation – Our Ease Government Intervention will commence on the chamber. “All your requests are noted for action,” the chairman assured.
