Cardi B announces third pregnancy after filing for divorce
Cardi B, the US rapper, has announced that she is expecting her third child — after filing for divorce from Offset, her estranged husband.
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper took to her Instagram page on Thursday to share photos of her growing baby bump.
She also showered encomium on her future child while stressing her love for all her children.
While alluding to the breakup, she wrote, “With every ending comes a new beginning!”
“With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all,” she wrote.
“You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do!
“It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”
The announcement comes after news broke that the mother of two officially filed for divorce from Offset.
In December 2023, Cardi confirmed her separation from Offset after the pair had been married for six years.
According to TMZ, the 31-year-old filed for divorce a few days ago. It is reported that Cardi is seeking primary custody of her children with Offset.
Cardi and Offset tied the knot in 2017.
They welcomed their first child Kulture in 2018 and their second child Wave in 2021.
Their union, however, hit the rock in 2020 after Cardi B filed for divorce over allegations of infidelity. They eventually reconciled.
