Your Excellency,
On behalf of the entire membership of the BAT Solidarity Movement (BAT.SM), a formidable support group of the All Progressives Congress (APC), I extend our warmest congratulations to you on your well-deserved appointment as the National Chairman of our great party. Your emergence at this critical time is a testament to your leadership acumen, dedication to progressive ideals, and unwavering commitment to the growth of the APC.
Since our inception under the banner of the PMB Solidarity Movement during the era of our late leader, President Muhammadu Buhari, BAT.SM has played a pivotal role in mobilizing grassroots support, galvanizing voters, and ensuring the electoral success of the APC at all levels. Over the past 12 years, we have remained steadfast in our loyalty to the party, contributing significantly to its victories in successive elections.
As you assume this exalted office, we pledge our unalloyed support and readiness to work closely with your leadership to inject fresh impetus into the APC. We are confident that under your guidance, the party will unite its members, attract new defectors from other political parties, and emerge stronger to win more states and future elections. We also believe that your tenure will foster internal democracy, reinforcing the APC’s position as the largest and leading progressive party in Africa.
However, we respectfully urge Your Excellency to recognize and institutionalize the critical role of support groups within the party’s framework. In the past, particularly during the last general elections, support groups were often used and abandoned after elections, despite their immense sacrifices. We appeal that your leadership will redefine their place in the party’s structure, ensuring they are given meaningful recognition and inclusion in decision-making processes.
Furthermore, we implore you to address the lingering internal grievances within the APC, particularly the marginalization of founding members who have been sidelined since 2023 after winning the election. A return to the founding ideals and philosophies** of our great party will strengthen its foundation and restore the confidence of all stakeholders.
Once again, we congratulate you and pray that God grants you the wisdom, courage, and vision to lead the APC to greater heights. The BAT Solidarity Movement remains resolute in our support for the party and your leadership.
