Court Dismisses PDP’s Appeal, Others as Lacking Merit
Barr. Morayo Lebi Commends Judiciary, Thanks People of Ondo State
Prominent APC chieftain, Barr. Morayo Lebi, has applauded the Court of Appeal’s verdict delivered on July 31, 2024, which affirmed the election of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and Deputy Governor Dr. Olayide Adelami. The court dismissed the petitions filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other parties, describing them as lacking in merit.
Barr. Lebi hailed the ruling as a landmark victory for democracy, justice, and the will of the people, emphasizing that the outcome reinforces the credibility of Nigeria’s electoral system and the integrity of the judiciary.
This judgment once again demonstrates that the judiciary remains the last hope of the common man. I warmly congratulate Governor Aiyedatiwa and Dr. Adelami on this well-deserved legal victory. I urge all stakeholders and citizens to come together to build a more prosperous Ondo State,” Barr. Lebi stated.
In his reaction, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude to the judiciary for upholding justice and thanked the people of Ondo State for their unwavering support and trust in his administration.
