The rumour making the rounds to the effect that the membership status of Barrister Abiye Ademoyegun, a staunch devotee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is being questioned has come to our notice.

While we do understand that such was a ploy from detractors to sway the teeming admirers of Lawyer Ademoyegun whose popularity has admirably soared unhitched, we have decided to react, as follows, in order to set skewed records straight and in the interest of public education.

Barrister Abiye Ademoyegun has been a solid member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who, after her brief and circumstantial exit from the party, returned to the fold in a major event witnessed by party notables, including the party’s state chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin.

Lawyer Abiye however holds inalienable right to run for any elective position as a resourceful party stalwart with requisite mental and material wherewithal; and that her political constituency, Isowopo, is not on any ground precluded from sponsoring a candidate; not even on the perfidious pretext that an incumbent state assembly member comes from the same constituency with her, since there exits plethora instances of similar situation.

To this extent, members of the public, particularly the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a political family in the state, are enjoined to discard the wrong impressions associated with Abiye Ademoyegun as being peddled by traducers as mere political ploys.
