Another bold step was taken by the Ministry today in its sustained efforts to improve the Welfare and wellbeing of Nigerian Women as we recieved the President of National Association of Nigerian Traders, Dr Ken Ukaoha and members of his team at the office.

The thrust of our meeting was to draw out modalities for strong partnerships that will provide seamless platforms to showcase and markets the goods and services by our Women beyond our national frontiers.

I also told my guests that we have finalized plans to commence partnership with the Nigerian Army on mechanized farming from Monday next week and other areas of collaboration to enhance the socio-economic status of Women in Nigeria.

I was personally delighted by the President’s presentation which is in tandem with the Renewed Hope initiative designed to make life easier for our Women especially the rural dwellers. Part of our proposed partnership with the National Association of Nigerian Traders include provision of micro credit for women, on-boarding of more women onto our recently unveiled Nigeria Women Projects E-Market portal which already has about 283,000 women cooperatives, modernized farming and involvement of Transport Unions to ensure subsidized rates for conveyance of empowerment equipment, goods and farm produce from one location to another as part of measures to reduce cost and provide more food for Nigerians in line with President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s agenda on food security.

The President of the Association expressed his delight and pledged their willingness to kickstart this collaboration enhance the livelihood of Nigerians especially rural Women
