Amb. (Arc) Adedamola Radak Kazeem, Convener of the National Progressive Platform for Youths, Felicitates with Hon. Cardinal James Odunmbaku (Baba Eto of Lagos) on His 79th Birthday
The Convener of the National Progressive Platform for Youths (NPPY), Ambassador (Arc) Adedamola Radak Kazeem, has joined well-wishers across Nigeria in celebrating the life and legacy of the revered political icon and clergyman, Hon. Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku, popularly known as Baba Eto of Lagos, as he marks his 79th birthday anniversary.
In his goodwill message, Amb. Kazeem described Baba Eto as “a father figure, a bridge-builder, and an exemplary leader whose influence has spanned politics, religion, and community development in Lagos and beyond.” He praised Baba Eto’s remarkable contributions to the growth of democracy and grassroots mobilisation within the progressive family, particularly his steadfast loyalty and service to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to him, Baba Eto’s life is a testament to resilience, faith, and selfless dedication to the upliftment of humanity. “At 79, Baba Eto continues to inspire generations of youths and leaders through his wisdom, courage, and unwavering commitment to justice and equity. He has proven that true leadership is about service and impact,” Kazeem said.
The NPPY Convener further acknowledged Baba Eto’s invaluable role as a mentor to many, noting that his guidance has shaped several young leaders and political actors who are today contributing to Nigeria’s socio-political landscape.
As part of the celebration, Amb. Adedamola Rasak Kazeem, together with Hon. Awokoya Oriyomi Yusuf (Focus Noni), Hon. Omosanya Adeboye, Hon. Oyeleke Bola, Hon. Ajisegiri Jamiu, Hon. Adamolekun Charles Tokumbo, and Hon. Joseph Ogunfayo, visited Cardinal James Odunmbaku at his residence to present him with gifts in honour of his birthday. The delegation expressed deep respect and admiration for Baba Eto’s enduring legacy of leadership, service, and mentorship.
