Akoko North West constituency 2 leaders endorse Araoyinbo for vacant Reps bye-election

Ahead of the forthcoming bye-election to elect a new representative into the seat vacated by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in the house of representatives, political leaders and other leaders of thought in Akoko North West constituency 2 have resolved to endorse Hon Olumide Araoyinbo as the candidate of the constituency.

Rising from a hours-long meeting on Thursday, the leaders unanimously endorsed Araoyinbo after a keen selection process.

 

Present at the meeting were Hon Gani Dauda; Alhaji Oloruntoba; Hon Taofik Mohamed Oladele; Chief Adeyanju A.A; Hon.Cyril Egunlayi; Chief Babalola; Engr. Austin Pelemo and all the chairmen of the four wards that make up the constituency.

The aspirants present at the meeting were Hon Olumide Araoyinbo; Alh. Kunle Saliu; Pastor Ola Amuda; Hon Nelson Aremo and Hon Joseph Aladetimehin.

The election process that led to the endorsement was spear-headed by Hon Gani Dauda, a former member of the green chamber, and Alh. Oloruntoba, a member of state elders forum in the state.

Speaking on the endorsement, Hon Araoyinbo thanked the leaders for finding him worthy of their support. He also thanked other aspirants for their spirit of sportsmanship, and vowed to ensure that he does not betray their confidence in him.
