A former SA to the Governor and a leading House of Representatives by-election aspirant (Akoko NW/NE Federal Constituency) in Ondo state, Engr. Austin Pelemo, MNSE  has described the return of the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON, to Nigeria after his medical vacation as a validation of God’s  convenant with  all the good people of the State.

Engr. Pelemo, in a statement signed by him on Sunday, described Akeredolu as a leader with exceptional passion and burning desire for the overall development of the State.

According to him, we must continue to pray to God to give Aketi renewed strength and energy to transform the state than he met it .

Speaking further, Engnr Pelemo said “I applaud the efforts of Mr. Deputy Governor and the members of the State Executive Council for holding forth while the Governor was away, officers like Mr. Dare Aragbaye, Engr. Aminu Raimi and Hon. Wale Akinterinwa, our own mother Prince Catherine Oladunni Odu and the elegant Stallion did wonders to maintain peace and order, stabilising the template you left through proper engagement of both young and old in the society.  At the party (APC) level, Engr. Ade Adetimehin and his state executives also did their best to keep the party moving. I must also acknowledge the super role played by leaders like Dr. Segun Abraham, Sen. Ajayi Boroffice, Amb. Sola Iji , Hon. Sunday Abegunde and others in making sure that the integrity of our party (APC) was defended by regular engagements with party members and national leadership while our Governor was away, I thank you all”.

Now that the governor is back, we need to support him in our prayers so that he will continue to pilot the ship to a safe harbour

Repositioning our dear Ondo state in the committee of states is very important and  first on the list. I therefore call on all our leaders to stand and work with Mr. Governor more than ever before in ensuring that  more meaningful attention is given from the Federal government to our dear state in terms of good appointments and other developmental programmes that will commensurate with highest percentage of votes delivered from Ondo state to Mr. President during the last general election .

Your Excellency, your safe return calls for thanksgiving to God from every son, daughter, friend, and well wishers of Ondo State. I welcome the amiable Governor of Ondo to Nigeria and Ondo state in particular,  and we pray that God will grant our Governor sound health, strength, and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state.
