Ajax Confirm New Long-Term Deal for Moroccan Wonderkid Abdellah Ouazane
Ajax have officially announced the signing of a new contract with 16-year-old Moroccan midfielder Abdellah Ouazane, extending his stay at the club until June 2028. The youngster, who captained Morocco’s U17 AFCON-winning team, is regarded as one of the top midfield prospects in Europe.
Ouazane had previously been linked with a move to Real Madrid, but the deal collapsed after he failed a medical in Spain. Ajax later confirmed that a fresh medical assessment cleared him to play at the highest level, paving the way for the renewed agreement.
He will begin the season with Jong Ajax and is expected to be gradually integrated into the senior squad. The club emphasized their long-term confidence in the player’s development and potential contribution to Ajax’s footballing philosophy.
