The just-concluded International Students’ Film Festival hosted by Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri, from November 19th to 21st, 2025, turned out to be a moment of glory for Ambassador Dr. Adewale Adeogun, who clinched two prestigious awards in one night.
Dr. Adeogun, a recent graduate of the Cosmopolitan University Film Academy, Abuja, dazzled the highly professional jury with his exceptional performance in his film “THE LESSON.” The film, which premiered during the festival, earned him awards in the Best Costume category and the Best Actor (Male) category—an impressive feat in a festival that attracted seasoned filmmakers, student directors, and industry stakeholders from across the country.
The event was graced by representatives of the Executive Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, as well as prominent Nollywood veterans, adding prestige and credibility to the award ceremony.

He expressed his commitment to using film as a tool to uplift society, promote knowledge, and drive positive change.
He also offered advice to the younger generation, urging Gen Z students to take their education seriously, noting that their academic foundation will become their greatest legacy tomorrow. Additionally, he encouraged film industry professionals to embrace unity and collaboration for the growth and betterment of the creative sector.
