A Boost to Grassroots Governance: Akoko South East Local Government Chairman Lauds Governor Aiyedatiwa’s Provision of Utility Vehicles
The Executive Chairman of Akoko South East Local Government, Engr. Ayegbo Omolehin Jude, has expressed his Profound gratitude to the Ondo State Governor, His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for the Provision of utility Vehicles to all 18 local Government Chairmen in the State. This gesture is in reality to Governor Aiyedatiwa’s unwavering Commitment to Strengthening local Government administration and Promoting grassroots Governance.
The official Presentation ceremony, which took place on Monday at the Government House in Akure, was a significant milestone in the Governor’s efforts to revitalize local Government operations and enhance their capacity to deliver essential services to the People.
Engr. Ayegbo, who was among the beneficiaries of the utility vehicles, Praised Governor Aiyedatiwa’s initiative, acknowledging its Potential to transform the landscape of local Government administration in Ondo State.
In his remarks to newsmen after the Presentation, Engr. Ayegbo hailed Governor Aiyedatiwa’s gesture as a bold step towards empowering local Government Chairmen to effectively discharge their duties. He noted that the Provision of utility vehicles would greatly facilitate the movement of local government officials, enabling them to respond Promptly to the needs of the People and implement Projects that would have a direct impact on their lives.
Engr. Ayegbo also seized the opportunity to assure Governor Aiyedatiwa and the People of Akoko South East Local Government that he would make judicious use of the utility vehicle and ensure that it serves the Purpose for which it was Provided. He pledged to work tirelessly to deliver the dividends of democracy to the People, focusing on Projects and Programs that would improve their standard of living and Promote sustainable development.
