Bala Mohammed Explains Decision to Drop Presidential Ambition for Southern Zoning
Mohammed, the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, stated that he abandoned his ambition to enable the PDP to allocate its presidential ticket to the South.
Speaking to journalists yesterday, the governor stated that he was involved in the decision-making process concerning the zoning.
He expressed his satisfaction with the resolution, stating that he was involved in its arrangement, strategy, and delivery.
We’ve unanimously decided to hold our NEC meeting in Ibadan, Oyo State. We’re committed to maintaining the current zoning arrangement for party offices and assigning the presidential position to the South-South region, all with the aim of fostering sanity, understanding, and unity within our ranks.
I urge Nigerians to understand that politics should not be driven by personal agendas, but rather about realizing one’s potential within the context of party decisions, manifestos, and national development.
Everything is based on sacrifice rather than self-interest, and it is essential that we always allow for differences, show respect to one another. Remember, true power comes from God.
“We, as governors, NWC members, and BoT representatives, are committed to ensuring that the PDP becomes a favorite among Nigerians. Our goal is to provide everyone with the political opportunities they need to achieve their aspirations.”
