FEFA PAYS APPRECIATION VISIT TO ONE VOICE NETWORK,AKOKO NORTH EAST APC LEADERS FOLLOWING DEFECTION FROM PDP

A political group under the aegis of FEFA Network has paid a courtesy and appreciation visit to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akoko North East Local Government Area, following their recent defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The visit, which took place at Oke Oyinmo in Ikare-Akoko Ondo State, was led by the group convener, Hon. Prince Feyisayo Ayodele, and coordinated by Hon. Adeshombe, the General Coordinator of FEFA.

Speaking during the meeting, Hon. Adeshombe expressed heartfelt gratitude to the APC leaders for the warm and honorable reception accorded the group upon their return to the party. He noted that although they were originally members of the APC, internal party issues and leadership interference from outside their local government area had prompted their earlier defection.

“We left the APC some years ago due to political irregularities and undue interference in Akoko North East, particularly from the Minister of Interior, Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, who hails from Akoko North West. His persistent attempts to exert control over our affairs created tensions and division, ultimately leading to our departure,” Adeshombe stated.

He, however, praised the current administration and the state party leadership for restoring order and re-establishing local autonomy within the party structure.

“Thanks to the directive of our amiable Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, local leaders are now empowered to manage and oversee their respective constituencies. This policy shift has given us the confidence to return, knowing we are now under the leadership of our own people in Akoko North East,” he added.

Hon. Adeshombe extended the group’s appreciation to several key figures for their roles in facilitating their return to the APC, including: Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Commissioner for Industry, Prince Ademuwagun, Senator Jide Ipinsagba, Hon. Otolorin Elegbeleye, Former Deputy Governor, Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo, Hon. Ali Alihamam, Hon.Varsty, Hon maliaka, Hon Delak and other prominent APC leaders in Akoko North East

He emphasized the group’s renewed commitment to the APC and assured the party leadership of their readiness to contribute actively to its growth and electoral success in forthcoming elections.

“We are fully back in the APC, and we are ready to play our part to ensure the party’s victory in all future contests,” Hon. Omoniyi Adeshombe declared.
