Tribute to Mama Lydia Goshwe Yilwatda: A Life Well Lived

With a heart filled with both sorrow and gratitude, I join countless others in paying tribute to the remarkable life of Mama Lydia Goshwe Yilwatda, the beloved mother of our National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda.
Mama Lydia lived a life that embodied discipline, love, and service to humanity. She was a pillar of strength, a beacon of wisdom, and a source of inspiration not only to her family but to all who were privileged to encounter her. Her nurturing spirit, deep faith, and selfless devotion to community and family values remain enduring legacies that will live on long after her transition.
Though her departure leaves a painful void, we take solace in the knowledge that Mama Lydia lived a purposeful life, fulfilling her divine assignment with grace, dignity, and unwavering faith. She has gone to rest in the bosom of her Creator, leaving behind a blessed generation of children and grandchildren who continue to reflect her virtues and uphold her good name with pride.
On behalf of the Himma Farmers Association of Nigeria, I extend my deepest condolences to Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda and the entire Yilwatda family. May Almighty God grant them the strength to bear this irreparable loss, and may Mama’s gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
Mama Lydia’s memory will forever remain a blessing, and her life an enduring testimony of grace, virtue, and impact.
