Tribute from NSITF Chairman, Hon. Sola Olofin, to Late Mama Lydia Goshwe Yilwatda
With a heart filled with sorrow yet gratitude to God for a life well spent, I join family, friends, and well-wishers in paying tribute to the remarkable life of Mama Lydia Goshwe Yilwatda, the beloved mother of our National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda.
Mama Lydia was a woman of uncommon strength, humility, and wisdom. She lived a life rooted in faith, discipline, and compassion, nurturing not only her immediate family but also many within her community. Her legacy of love, integrity, and service will continue to shine through the lives of her children and all those she touched.
Though her departure leaves a painful void, we take solace in the fact that Mama Lydia lived a purposeful and fulfilled life, and has now gone to rest in the bosom of her Creator.
On behalf of the Management Board of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), I extend my deepest condolences to Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda and the entire Yilwatda family. May God grant them the strength to bear this irreparable loss, and may Mama’s gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
