Himma Youth Farmers Association Engages Alternative Bank to Boost Financial Inclusion for Members

Abuja – In a strategic move to strengthen financial collaboration and broaden access to banking services for its members, the Himma Youth Farmers Association of Nigeria (HYFA) has held a high-level meeting with the Executive Director of the Alternative Bank at the institution’s headquarters in Abuja.

The meeting focused on exploring tailored financial solutions for smallholder farmers, including access to loans, savings platforms, and digital payment channels.

Discussions also covered capacity building for farmers on financial literacy, the development of farmer-friendly investment products, and the integration of mobile banking solutions to reduce transaction costs in rural areas.

HYFA’s vision goes beyond crop production, with a strong focus on making farming profitable and sustainable. With the right financial support, the association believes farmers can invest in better inputs, modern equipment, and value-added processing to increase productivity and income.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to establish a joint technical team to draft a framework for cooperation, with implementation expected to begin later this year.

With members across Nigeria, HYFA continues to position itself as a bridge between rural farmers and critical partners in finance, technology, and agribusiness—driven by its ultimate mission to end hunger in the country.
