BENEFICIARIES JUBILATE AS AKOKO NORTHWEST CHAIRMAN OWOLABI DISTRIBUTES RELIEF MATERIALS TO RAINSTORM VICTIMS

In fulfillment of his promise to support residents affected by recent natural disasters, the Executive Chairman of Akoko Northwest Local Government, Hon. Model Esan Owolabi JP, has delivered much-needed relief materials to communities devastated by the rainstorm that struck between March and April this year.

The heavy rainfall, accompanied by destructive winds, caused severe damage to homes and critical infrastructure, leaving many families in hardship. Affected residents recounted the loss of valuable property and essential structures during the disaster.

On his earlier visit to the impacted communities, Chairman Owolabi expressed deep sympathy, assured victims of government intervention, and pledged assistance to help them rebuild their lives.

Staying true to his word, the Chairman has now distributed roofing materials to all the affected communities, aiming to ease their suffering and accelerate recovery efforts. He urged beneficiaries to make responsible use of the materials and warned against selling them.

The March–April rainstorm left a trail of destruction, with numerous roofs blown off and properties damaged. Chairman Owolabi’s timely intervention has brought renewed hope to the victims.

Reaffirming his unwavering commitment to the people, the Chairman pledged to always prioritize the welfare and safety of residents in Akoko Northwest Local Government Area.
