Securing the Future with Renewed Hope: Ondo’s 95% Commitment to Tinubu in 2027

By Akinde Michael Latula, frontline aspirant for Ondo State House of Assembly, Okitipupa Constituency II

As we approach the 2027 general elections, the political consciousness of Nigerians must be shaped not by mere sentiment or party affiliation, but by a sincere and objective assessment of leadership performance, national interest, and the urgent need to consolidate the gains of ongoing reforms. For us in Ondo State, the decision is clear: we must stand firmly behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and deliver nothing less than 95% of the total votes in his favor.

—

1. A President with Vision and Courage

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu assumed office at a pivotal moment in Nigeria’s democratic journey. With decisive leadership and unwavering political will, he tackled deeply rooted economic challenges — including the long-overdue removal of fuel subsidy and the unification of the forex market — bold reforms that previous administrations avoided. Though initially painful, these measures are now laying the foundation for long-term stability and sustainable economic growth.

As a politically aware and forward-looking state, Ondo must recognize and reward such uncommon courage and visionary leadership with overwhelming support.

2. Renewed Hope Agenda Taking Root

The Renewed Hope Agenda is far more than a campaign slogan — it is a strategic and comprehensive plan for rebuilding Nigeria’s economy, enhancing infrastructure, promoting social inclusion, and empowering the youth. In Ondo State, we are already witnessing the impact of this agenda through federal road rehabilitation projects, increased resource allocations, and support for grassroots initiatives.

Programs such as conditional cash transfers, MSME funding, and agricultural interventions are transforming lives. This is not the time for political experiments. We must sustain and accelerate this progress — with President Tinubu at the helm.

—

3. Political Reward and Strategic Alignment

History has shown that states aligned with the federal government often receive greater consideration in appointments, infrastructure, and investment. Ondo State must not remain on the sidelines. By delivering 95% of our votes to President Tinubu, we demonstrate our reliability and strengthen our hand in the national development agenda.

Political loyalty is not just rhetoric — it is a smart and strategic pathway to influence and advancement.

—

4. Defending the South-West Mandate

The 2023 election was a defining moment for the South-West, as we stood united behind one of our own — Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a statesman who laid the foundation for modern Lagos and pioneered progressive governance. In 2027, we must do even more to protect and consolidate that mandate.

Delivering 95% of Ondo State’s votes is not just political duty; it is a clear affirmation of regional unity, pride, and a commitment to sustained progress.

—

5. Youth Empowerment and Inclusion

As a youth leader and grassroots mobilizer, I have seen firsthand the Tinubu administration’s deliberate efforts to integrate young Nigerians into governance. From ministerial appointments to national boards and youth-focused economic programs, President Tinubu is making room for the next generation.

Ondo youth must seize this moment. We must mobilize, participate, and support the only president in recent memory who has genuinely empowered young people to lead.

—

In Conclusion

The 2027 elections are more than a political contest — they are a referendum on Nigeria’s future. A choice between reform and regression, between tested leadership and uncertainty.

I, Akinde Michael Latula, a proud son of Okitipupa and aspirant for the Ondo State House of Assembly, urge all sons and daughters of Ondo to rise with purpose and vote decisively.

Let us give President Bola Ahmed Tinubu 95% of the total votes in Ondo State. Let us protect the gains of today and secure the promise of tomorrow.

Renewed Hope must not be interrupted. Ondo must lead the charge.
