Man lures pregnant nurse, butchers and dismembers vital organs

An unidentified pregnant nurse in Umueri village, Ogbunike, Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, has been allegedly killed by a man identified a man (names withheld) using his sick mother as a bait to get the deceased.

The suspect was said to have told the unsuspecting nurse that his mother was sick and needed the nurse to attend to her.

According to a video which has gone viral on Facebook, no sooner had the woman arrived than she was butchered by the suspect, who was said to have fled the scene immediately carrying out the heinous act.

An Indigene of the community who posted the videos on social media with the account Iroko Ogbunike, said that the body of the victim showed that her vital organs were removed before she was dumped in a pit close to his compound.

The source said: “Unconfirmed news also suggest that parts of the nurse’s body were missing, raising strong suspicions of a ritual killing.

“The entire community is in shock as security agencies intensify efforts to track down the suspect.”

The video showed some individuals from the community dragging the dead woman’s body out of the pit.

One of the youths in the community who participated in rescuing the body was heard lamenting the unjust treatment, and declaring the alleged suspect wanted.

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Tochukwu Ikenga, could not be immediately reached for comment as his phone line was not reachable.
