Captain Ibrahim Traoré Insists Burkina Faso is no longer Part of La Francophonie

In a bold and decisive move that’s turning heads around the globe, Burkina Faso’s President Ibrahim Traoré has announced the country’s full withdrawal from the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF) remains.

This decision is yet another significant step by Traoré to push back against what he describes as “foreign dominance” and to reclaim true African sovereignty.

His message is unmistakable: Africa needs to chart its own course—free from the shadows of colonial influence.
