Government Declares Work-Free Day To Honour Late Buhari
The Katsina State Government has declared Monday, July 14, 2025, a work-free day in honor of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, in London.
This directive was announced by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Abdullahi Faskari, through his Director of Press, Abdullahi Aliyu-Yar’adua
According to Garba-Faskari, Governor Dikko Radda issued the order to allow workers and residents of the state to mourn the loss and participate in prayers for the departed leader.
Governor Radda extended his profound condolences to Buhari’s family, the people of Katsina, and the entire nation.
He described the late former President as “a great leader, a hero, a true democrat and a patriotic elder statesman whose life was dedicated to the service of Nigeria.”
The SSG added that the Governor prayed to Almighty Allah to grant mercy to Buhari’s soul, forgive his shortcomings, and reward his good deeds with Aljannatul Firdaus.
Details regarding the funeral arrangements will be communicated to the public in due course.
