The war of words between Nollywood actresses Iyabo Ojo and Lizzy Anjorin has taken a new turn — and it’s getting messier.
Iyabo Ojo, in a video posted on her page, made a strong declaration saying that if anything happens to her or her children, the public should hold Lizzy Anjorin responsible. This comes after Lizzy had earlier posted a video making a similar statement — that if anything happens to her, her child, husband, home, or business, Iyabo Ojo should be blamed.
Lizzy Anjorin had accused Iyabo of sending people to her home to take pictures of her plate number, make videos of her child, and allegedly use her for donation-related schemes. She also claimed that Iyabo was trying to damage her reputation and should be held responsible if anything goes wrong in her life.
But Iyabo wasn’t having it.
In her response, she said she had been waiting for Lizzy to mention her name directly — and now that she has, she’s ready to respond fully. She reminded everyone that the 1 billion naira defamation lawsuit against Lizzy hasn’t even kicked off yet.
“That case you’re shouting got thrown out? That was just ADR [Alternative Dispute Resolution],” Iyabo explained. “We haven’t even started the real case.”
She insisted that with all the defamatory videos Lizzy had made about her, she was the one who should be worried, not the other way around. Iyabo also stated that she hasn’t taken any action yet because she was waiting for Lizzy to speak directly — and now that she has, it’s game on.
