CHAIRMAN OWOLABI RECEIVES FRSC DELEGATION
… Seeking Effective Partnership with the Chairman’s Office

The Executive Chairman of Akoko Northwest Local Government Area, Ondo State, Hon. Model Esan Owolabi, warmly received a high-powered delegation from the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) on a familiarization visit to his office on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025. The visit marked another milestone in the administration’s drive towards renewed hope and progressive collaboration.

In their remarks, the leader of the FRSC delegation expressed deep appreciation for the chairman’s hospitality and support. He outlined the main purpose of their visit, which included building a cordial working relationship with the chairman, plans to establish an FRSC office within Akoko Northwest, and soliciting the support of the local government for ongoing and future FRSC activities in the area.

The delegation leader also took the opportunity to advise motorists to drive cautiously, especially during the rainy season, emphasizing that “life has no duplicate.”

> “Our officers are on the roads daily, warning drivers to check their vehicles before setting out in the morning and after returning in the evening. We are doing everything possible to achieve zero crashes this rainy season,” he stated.

In his response, Chairman Esan Owolabi commended the FRSC for their consistent efforts to ensure road safety in the area, particularly during the challenging rainy season. He assured the delegation of his administration’s full support and pledged to foster a strong partnership with the FRSC to enhance the safety and well-being of residents.
