Police nab two robbery suspects, recover vehicle
Operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command have recorded another success in its fight against crime, following the arrest of two suspected armed robbers and the recovery of a stolen vehicle.
In a statement on Monday by the command’s spokesman, SP Suleiman Nguroje, he stated that the suspects were arrested based on credible information.
“The police operatives from the Yolde Pate Divisional Police Headquarters, led by SP Abdullahi Abubakar, swiftly responded to information that suspects who robbed one Sadisu Umar Sani of his black Honda Accord (2015 model) in Sabon Gari Jalingo, Taraba State, had moved the stolen vehicle to Yola.
“The suspects, identified as: Emmanuel Sale (28 years), and Jibrilla Hassan (36 years), both residents of Sabon Gari, Jalingo, were apprehended, and the stolen vehicle was successfully recovered.”
The Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, commended the officers for their swift action and directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yola, to collaborate with the Taraba State Police Command for further discreet investigation and diligent prosecution.
The statement added, “Adamawa State Police Command remains resolute in its commitment to the protection of lives and property across the state”.
