President Tinubu sign Three Bills into Law

President Bola Tinubu has signed three bills into law to set up new federal institutions in the South-East

The schools include a College of Education in Bende, Abia State, a Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences also in Bende, and a Federal University in Okigwe, Imo State.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio shared the news in Abuja, describing it as a boost for education in the region.

The bills were sponsored and co-sponsored by some lawmakers from both the Senate and the House of Representatives.

Akpabio said the new schools will help meet the education and health needs of people in the South-East, as well as create more chances for research and learning.

He added that the move would support the government’s wider plan to improve different parts of the country.

He thanked lawmakers who supported the bills and encouraged the people of the South-East to continue backing the administration’s efforts.

Akpabio also said that steady support from the region would bring more projects and federal attention to the area.
