Eid-el-Kabir: Hon. Bidemi Joshua Obayangban, SA on Forestry to the Governor, Preaches Peace and Unity
As Muslims around the world celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, Hon. Bidemi Joshua Obayangban, Special Assistant on Forestry to the Governor of Ondo State, has called on Nigerians—particularly the people of Ondo State—to embrace peace, unity, and mutual understanding.
In his goodwill message to mark the auspicious occasion, Hon. Obayangban emphasized the importance of the festival as a time for reflection, sacrifice, and commitment to the values that bind society together. He urged citizens to imbibe the virtues of love, selflessness, and tolerance exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
“This season reminds us of the power of faith, obedience, and unity,” he said. “As we celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, let us come together as one people, regardless of religion or ethnicity, to build a more peaceful and prosperous society.”
The Special Assistant also commended the Muslim community for their contributions to the progress and development of Ondo State and encouraged them to continue to uphold the teachings of Islam in promoting harmony and good neighborliness.
He concluded by praying for continued peace, divine protection for all citizens, and wisdom for leaders at all levels to steer the state and nation towards greater heights.
