CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE TO HIS EXCELLENCY, HON. (DR.) LUCKY ORIMISAN AIYEDATIWA, ON HIS TRIBUNAL VICTORY
I want to heartily congratulate our leader and the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Hon. (Dr.) Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, on yesterday’s resounding victory at the Ondo State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal.
The validation of your landslide victory in the November 16, 2024 Governorship Election by the Justice Benson Ogbu-led three-member tribunal panel is a further testament to the unwavering confidence reposed in your purposeful leadership by the people of Ondo State. The Tribunal’s dismissal of the petitions filed by Hon. Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), alongside those of the Action Alliance (AA), Allied People Movement (APM), Social Democratic Party (SDP) and African Democratic Congress (ADC), for lacking in merit and evidential substance, is a clear vindication of the free, fair, credible, and peaceful nature of that historic election.
This legal triumph, which follows the overwhelming support you received at the polls, reaffirms your wide acceptability across the nooks and crannies of Ondo State. It is also a victory for democracy, the rule of law, and the collective will of our people.
I salute your legal team ably led by Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN, and Tayo Oyetibo, SAN, for their professionalism and brilliance in defending the sacred mandate freely given by the people.
Your Excellency, congratulations once again on this well-deserved judicial endorsement. May this renewed affirmation of your mandate further propel your administration toward delivering more dividends of democracy to the good people of Ondo State.
