Akoko North West Chairman Visits Accident Scene, Cautions Against Reckless Driving
The Executive Chairman of Akoko North West Local Government, Hon. Esan Owolabi, has paid a sympathetic visit to the scene of a fatal road accident that occurred along the Afin-Okeagbe Road. The tragic incident, which happened on Tuesday, 27th at around 3 p.m., involved a commercial bus en route to the northern part of the country and claimed two lives on the spot.
Hon. Owolabi expressed deep sorrow over the loss and extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. He also emphasized the urgent need for enhanced road safety measures to prevent future tragedies.
During his on-the-spot assessment, the Chairman took note of the road conditions and the factors that may have contributed to the crash. Eyewitness accounts revealed that the accident was caused by reckless and overspeeding driving. The driver, who reportedly sustained severe injuries, is currently receiving treatment.
