FG Clears 200,000 Passport Backlogs, Pays ₦28bn Debts — Tunji-Ojo

Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo says the federal government has cleared over 200,000 pending passport applications and settled ₦28 billion in debts without extra funding.

 

Speaking at an Access Bank event in Lagos, he credited innovation and technology for the reforms and also decried Nigeria’s prison conditions, calling for justice reforms and inmate rehabilitation.
