EFCC Apprehends 120 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Lagos

 

Operatives from the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 120 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud. The group consists of 95 men and 25 women, apprehended from various locations across Lagos.
The arrests took place on Monday, May 19, 2025, following actionable intelligence and extensive surveillance linking the suspects to cybercrime activities.

During the coordinated operation, officials recovered 26 luxury vehicles, high-end jewelry, smartphones, laptops, and various incriminating documents.
The suspects are currently under investigation and will be charged in court upon the conclusion of the inquiry
