Royal Courtesy: Akoko Northwest Queens’ Empire Visits Chairman Owolabi, Pledges Support”
The Oloris (Queens) of Akoko Northwest Local Government in Ondo State paid a royal visit to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Esan John Owolabi, on May 19, 2025, to congratulate him on his electoral victory and commend his leadership. The queens, led by the Olori of Ajana of Okeagbe, Queen Gbemisola Arasanyin, praised Chairman Owolabi’s progressive reforms and commitment to developing the local government area.
The Olori of Ajana described the Chairman as a leader with purpose, highlighting his “Renewed Hope” initiatives and swift interventions that have positively impacted the council. The President of the Akoko Northwest Oloris Association, Olori Owa of Ogbagi Akoko, echoed similar sentiments, appreciating the Chairman’s hospitality and attentiveness to their concerns.
During the visit, the Oloris pledged their support and partnership with the Chairman’s administration, emphasizing their commitment to grassroots development. They also requested the Chairman’s support for upcoming empowerment programs, aimed at benefiting the less privileged in the area.
In response, Chairman Owolabi expressed gratitude for the royal recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive governance and sustainable development in Akoko Northwest. He also pledged to promote greater inclusion of women in his administration, commending the Oloris for their selfless efforts toward community development.
The visit was attended by several dignitaries, including prominent Oloris from the area. The Oloris presented a royal gift to the Chairman as a token of appreciation and homage, concluding the visit on a warm and cordial note.
