The Deputy Chairman, House Committee on National Planning and Economic Development, performed the commissioning today 10th May, 2025, at the Institution while gracing their Matriculation and Convocation as Special Guest of Honour.

Honourable Member representing Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Rep. Clement Jimbo, MHR, MNIQS, has commissioned HON. CLEMENT JIMBO ICT/CBT CENTRE at PEACE INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY (PEACE POLY), Mbarakom, Abak Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.
The Deputy Chairman, House Committee on National Planning and Economic Development, performed the commissioning today 10th May, 2025, at the Institution while gracing their Matriculation and Convocation as Special Guest of Honour.
The Special Guest of Honour, in his remarks, commended the Proprietor/Board Of Trustees Chairman, for having the foresight to establish Peace Polytechnic to help in moulding good leaders that will reshape and take Nigeria to the next level. He also applauded the Rector and Management staff of the Institution for impacting knowledge on the students, maintaining that their labours shall never be in vain.
Rep. Jimbo, while advising the matriculating students, tasked them to take their studies seriously so as to graduate with good grades. He equally urged convoking students to strive towards being employers of labour by venturing into businesses and wished them favour in the labour market.
To support the good work that is ongoing in the School, Rep. Clement Jimbo, donated several stands of solar powered street lights for installation in the School premises and as well pledged to construct a standard six classroom blocks .
In his remarks, the Rector of Peace Institute of Management and Technology (Peace Poly), Prof. Peace, reiterated that the giant strides of the Member of Parliament in the National Assembly is widely acknowledged and appreciated by all and sundry. He specially lauded the educational advancement of the Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency spokesman, ever since he mounted the saddle, maintaining that his superlative achievements made the School to immortalized him by naming the ICT/CBT CENTRE after his name.
While appreciating the Federal Lawmaker for pioneering the compensation of Ibagwa Communities by the Nigerian Army, the Village Head of Mbarakom, Obong Okon Nathaniel, lauded the proactiveness of Rep. Jimbo, for being at the forefront of getting the right of Ibagwa Communities for them through the Petition that he sponsored on the floor of the Green Chamber.
Obong Okon, also acknowledged the warm reception and support that Rep. Jimbo, always accorded the Ibagwa Communities kinsmen whenever they are
appearing in the Public Petition Committee of the House of Representatives, Abuja and prayed God to bless him.
Highpoint of the event included; Commissioning of HON. CLEMENT JIMBO ICT/CBT CENTRE, presentation of Merit Award of Excellence to Rep. Clement Jimbo, presentation of awards to deserving personalities, procession by matriculating and Convocating students, presentation of gift to best graduating student by the Proprietor/BOT Chairman and lots more.

Commissioner of Education, AKS, represented by Mrs. Mercy Okure, 2024 Abak APC Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Austin Edem, Abak APC Chapter Vice Chairman, Pastor Johnson, Abak APC Chapter Officers, Councillor representing Abak Urban Ward 3, Hon. Emem Johnson, amongst others.
