Trump breaks silence on third-term bid
United States President Donald Trump has stated he is not seriously considering seeking a third term in office, despite recent remarks that hinted otherwise.
In an interview with NBC’s Meet the Press, aired Sunday, Trump dismissed speculation that he might pursue a constitutionally prohibited third run for the White House.

“This is not something I’m looking to do,” he told NBC News “Meet the Press” moderator Kristen Welker, according to released excerpts, adding: “I’m looking to have four great years and turn it over to somebody, ideally a great Republican, a great Republican to carry it forward.”
