The command’s spokesman, SP Suleiman Nguroje, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.

Nguroje stated that the success was a result of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun’s directives to end criminal activities in the country.

“In compliance with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, to develop an action plan aimed at minimising crimes, the Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State, CP Dankombo Morris, has re-designed the Command’s operational and intelligence capabilities and intensified security measures to address emerging threats and reduce crime within the state.

“This strategic move has yielded significant outcome that resulted in the arrest of numerous suspects for kidnapping, armed robbery, culpable homicide, rape amongst others, as well as the recovery of arms and ammunition as indicated below:

“Twenty (20) locally fabricated rifles, one hundred and ten (110) live rounds of AK-47 ammunition, two (2) improvised explosive devices (IEDs) planted by Boko Haram in some communities within Hong Local Government Area were detonated and six (6) kidnapped victims were rescued in collaboration with sister security agencies,” he stated.
