When Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson was appointed Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Ondo State Radiovision Corporation (OSRC), Orange 94.5fm and Alalaye 96.5fm in December 2024, it marked the beginning of a remarkable transformation in the state’s broadcast media.
Known for his strategic brilliance and deep-rooted experience in the media industry Mr Odusola-Stevenson has infused OSRC media group with a “Midas touch” – a results-driven, reform-minded leadership style that is visibly reshaping the organization. His tenure has been characterized by bold decisions, infrastructural revitalization, staff empowerment, and a long-term vision centered on people, products, and profit.
One of his first major accomplishments was reconnecting the station to the national power grid for the first time in over 20 years. This milestone has significantly improved energy efficiency and resulted in substantial cost savings.
Just Yesterday, I watched on OSRC News that he has again initiated the reconstruction of the Marketing department office complex at Oke Eda in Akure. The complex was destroyed by fire in October 2020. This reconstruction not only restores the station’s capacity but also symbolizes resilience and Odusola-Stevenson’s commitment to reviving institutional pride.
During the foundation laying ceremony, the OSRC Boss said “the project is a support from my friends”. This is heartwarming!
Under his leadership, Sunshine 96.5 FM Alalaye received a major upgrade with the acquisition of a brand-new transmitter. This investment has enhanced both broadcast quality and reach, solidifying OSRC’s position as a reliable voice throughout Ondo State and beyond.
In a further move to protect OSRC’s infrastructure, Mr Odusola-Stevenson installed a thunder arrestor device at the station’s facilities, safeguarding its equipment from lightning strikes and ensuring uninterrupted service delivery.
A key aspect of his leadership is the emphasis on investing in people – OSRC’s most valuable asset. Mr Odusola-Stevenson is committed to the continuous training and development of staff, ensuring they remain competitive in a rapidly evolving media landscape.
