NSCDC nabs suspect, destr0ys illegal crude oil reservoir in Rivers
Operatives of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps have arrested one person over illegal oil bunkering.
This is as the operatives destroyed a boat containing illegally obtained crude oil and a large pour-pot reservoir filled with an unquantifiable volume of stolen crude oil.
According to a post on its official X handle, the crude oil was obtained through the illegal connection of valves to a reboot line passing through the Umuedeokwara Community, around the flow station manifold, Odogwa, Etche LGA, Rivers State.
The post read, “Arrest of one suspect; confiscation and destruction of a large boat containing illegally acquired crude oil and large pour-put reservoir filled with unquantifiable volume of stolen crude oil gotten through illegal connections of valves to a reboot line passing through the Umuedeokwara Community, around the flow station manifold, Odogwa, Etche LGA, Rivers State.”
