In a remarkable display of consensus-building, the eleven members of the House unanimously elected Hon. Elerewe Ebenezer as the Leader of the House, while Hon. Owoseni Segun Michael was elected as the Deputy Leader of the House. The election was conducted by the Clerk of the House, following the swearing-in and oath of allegiance of the councilors-elect.
