The news about the ongoing screening and confirmation of LGA and LCDA CHAIRMEN herald signs of good tidings and renewed hopes for the entire state. The goodwill with which the announcement was received across the 18 LGA and the 33 LCDA of the State affirms Mr. Governor is in tune with the yearnings and aspirations of the people.

I personally want to congratulate all the LGA’s and LCDA’s Chairmen designates and all other appointees. Do see this as a clarion call to service. It must be treated like a golden egg.

The REDEEMED AGENDA commitment of the People’s Governor must remain the guiding force in delivering the dividends of democracy at the grassroot level.

It is time to justify the confidence reposed on you by the people and Mr. Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, CON.

The excitement cannot be overemphasized. Therefore, the momentum should be sustained with effective representation. It is not about you now but about those who you represent their collective aspiration as a people for development.

While I believe our constitution allows for autonomy, it is very important to synchronize with the lofty visions of the State, which has brought us to global recognition. Let the voice of productivity and adequate commitment speak more than the lonesome voices of power mongers. More importantly, know thy root. For whatever reasons, do not be distracted or be engrossed with power to lose focus on the ultimate goal. You owe the local governments and LCDA’s to execute the power eminent within your domain for those purposes that specifically serve the public good, securing lives and properties solely to implement economic development plans that serve greater public good.

As voters and taxpayers continue to demand good governance, you must invest heavily in this commitment, creatively thinking beyond the box to represent the Image of the government well at the local levels. As leaders, you must invest heavily to serve generations yet unborn with pro-people policies, understanding where the shoes most itches local communities.

You will be working with your respective communities and the state government in building institutional relationships with locals and businesses to create ways to get ultimate value for our people. From the Amazonian areas to inland, mainland our forest to meet the ultimate goals of good governance. By your commitment to service and duty, the resoluteness of Mr. Governor to crush underdevelopment and reduce poverty in a secured state is achievable.
