History has a way of repeating itself as the NURTW IMO state council was in the news once more as power changed hands.
The erstwhile chairman Hon Samuel Ude had the onerous privilege of handing over the paraphernalia office to the new State chairman Hon Jeff Eze.
It was really an occasion that had the semblance of decorum and Goodwill as the out gone State chairman in his handover speech took a stock of his commitment towards the progress of the union.
He urged the members to rise above board in their unflinching support for our new helmsman Hon Jeff Eze.
In a moving remark, Hon Samuel Ude reiterated his achievements in leaving towering legacies of meeting the union better than he met it
By extension, he offered his hand of fellowship to the state Chairman and beseech all to give Hon Jeff Eze the deserved comradeship and support.
To him everything, turn by turn.
To add a befitting colouration to the epoch making event, Hon Samuel Ude introduced the highfalutin state chairman to the union.
In his acceptance homily, our new state chairman Hon Jeff Eze enjoined the members to help him in his reformation drive to make the union better.
He assured his members that machineries have been put in place to make the union a Primus inte pares amongst the lot.
He however prayed God to give him the wisdom to steer the ship of the union to the desired destination.
It was truly a gathering that each union member will not be in a hurry to forget.
