As part of efforts to encourage youth inclusiveness in governance, the Hon. Commissioner for Youth Development and Talent Hunt, *Dr Emeka Mandela* on Thursday, February 6, 2025, led the newly elected Senators of the Nigerian Youth Parliament (NYA) to the office of the Minister of State, Ministry of Finance, *Dr. Doris Uzoka Anite,* presenting to the Minister, the young Leaders/Parliamentarians from Imo state extraction, who are representing the three senatorial zones in the state.
It was a moment of goodwill and engagement between the Minister and the young Imolites/Parliamentarians, as the renewed interest of mentorship and robust intimacy were witnessed.
This historic familiarization stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment of the Renewed Hope administration of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and bringing it down to the state level, the Prosperity Shared 3R Government of His Excellency, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodinma, towards ensuring the involvement of Nigerian Youths in national poilitics and their needed participation in the policymaking process.
*Dr. Uzoka Anite,* the Hon. Minister assured the young Parliamentarians of robust support and willingness to collaborate with them in the cause of giving the Nigerian Youth population a more prosperous future they so deserve.
Over one million eight hundred thousand Imo Youths are under the legislative care of these three distinguished Senators, who are expected to show dedication and purposeful representation in driving Nigeria’s developmental agenda.
*Mandela,* the Imo State youth Commissioner, in his remark, commended the Minister for her time, and audience. He moved on to charge the young Leaders to represent the interests of their fellow youths in the parliament and make sure that strategic ways are put in place to communicate the issues bordering the youths of their respective communities and creating a space for feedbacks, channels, and measures to providing solutions.
The young Commissioner, however enjoined them to show good character of excellence and respect in the cause of service delivery. encouraging them to serve as beacon of hope and inspiration to other youths in their respective constituencies.
The atmosphere was colourful and beneficial as the Hon. Minister encouraged them to always stand as agents of change, peace, and fairness as well as demonstrating purposeful leadership in the interest of the Nigerian Youths and other Nigerians.
