submit lists of abandoned projects in your State for urgent attention – Presidency to PDP Governor
The Presidency has urged Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke to compile a list of abandoned Federal Government projects across the state to accelerate their completion.
The development is aimed at promoting grassroots development in Osun State.
This call was made during a town hall meeting on Monday, which included stakeholders such as residents, labor leaders, traders, market women, farmers, and journalists.
The Presidency stressed that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is committed to addressing the needs of the people, making the meeting a crucial step in advancing the state’s development.
Khadijat Kareem, the Personal Assistant to the President on Constituency Affairs, noted: “We recognize the unique challenges facing Osun State, from infrastructure to economic empowerment. We are committed to addressing these issues and making a tangible impact. Please provide us with information on any abandoned federal projects in your area. On my next visit to Osun, I will bring a massive empowerment program.”
In his remarks, Governor Ademola Adeleke reaffirmed the state’s commitment to federal-state collaboration and expressed optimism about the completion of abandoned federal roads and other projects in Osun.
He assured that a list of these projects would be submitted shortly.
During the meeting, Comrade Adeshina Abubakar, Chairman of the Osun State NUJ Correspondents’ Chapel, urged the Federal Government to revisit the abandoned Machine Tool Factory and Steel Rolling project in the state.
He also advocated for the revival of initiatives like the Trader Money program to provide support for market women nationwide.
