Daniel Bwala Cries Out, says there are Conspiracy Against Him For Accepting Tinubu’s Appointment
Newly appointed presidential spokesperson Daniel Bwala has accused certain individuals, including television hosts and their guests, of orchestrating a targeted campaign against him. In a post shared on his X account (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, Bwala suggested that he was being unfairly attacked, describing the actions of his detractors as a coordinated conspiracy.

He will reveal them for who they truly are. It has begun,” Bwala wrote, implying that the efforts to undermine him were becoming evident. Bwala’s remarks come in the wake of criticism from Jesutega Onokpasa, a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who questioned President Bola Tinubu’s recent appointments, particularly Bwala’s inclusion. Speaking during a segment on Arise TV on Friday, Onokpasa criticized Tinubu’s decisions, labeling them as a betrayal of loyal party members. He singled out Bwala’s appointment, describing it as a contradiction, given Bwala’s history of critical comments about the president.
“How can someone who once called the president a drug dealer now be appointed to such a position?” Onokpasa asked. “Daniel Bwala, as a lawyer, has provided no evidence to support these accusations, yet he called our president a drug baron. Why should someone like that be rewarded with a government role, while those who stood by the president are overlooked?”
The APC leader further argued that Bwala’s prior allegations against President Tinubu disqualified him from serving in any official capacity and criticized the administration for sidelining loyalists in favor of controversial figures
Bwala, a lawyer and former aide to ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar, joined Tinubu’s team following a series of political realignments after the 2023 elections. While some see his appointment as a strategic move to broaden Tinubu’s support base, others view it as a questionable choice.
